I picked up this UGREEN USB C Hub 10Gbps, 4 Ports USB 3.2 Adapter to expand the limited ports on my laptop, and it does exactly that. Transferring files between my external SSD and computer is noticeably quick thanks to the 10Gbps speed, and having four USB 3.2 ports means I can leave my mouse, keyboard, and flash drive plugged in without swapping cables. It's compact and feels solid. Just remember what the listing says: the USB-C ports do not support video output or charging, so it's for data only. For that purpose, it works great.
